Review: Seducing Cinderella by Gina L Maxwell

Mixed martial arts fighter Reid Andrews’s chance to reclaim his title as light heavyweight champ is shattered when he’s injured only months before the rematch. To make sure he’s healed in time, his trainer sends him to recuperate under a professional’s care—Reid’s best friend’s little sister, all grown up.

Disorganized and bookish Lucie Miller needs some professional help of her own. She’d do anything to catch the eye of a doctor she’s crushed on for years, so when Reid offers seduction lessons in exchange for 24/7 conditioning for the biggest fight of his career, Lucie jumps at the chance.

Soon Reid finds him himself in the fight of his life...winning Lucie's heart before she gives it to someone else.

One of my favorite things to do is watch the UFC. So what do I really love? Fighters? I love the art of fighting. I love knowing what makes fighters tick, what challenges them, what drives them. Soooo a book where that's one of the characters? Yes please, sign me up!

Reid is smoking hot. He's got charm, sex appeal, aggression, dominance... gah, all of it. And Lucie is just too sweet. She's this shy, sweet woman who lacks confidence because she's been beaten down and passed over one too many times.

When Reid gets injured training, and his personal PT has a family emergency, his trainer sets him up with a new PT. When he shows up to her office, he's shocked to find out it's his best friend's little sister that he hasn't seen since she was in high school. To say she's grown up is an understatement, but she still caries herself like that little girl. Baggy clothes, glasses, and incredibly insecure. Lucie has her sights set on a doctor at her office, who doesn't seem to notice her. So Reid and Lucie strike up an agreement. Reid moves in with Lucie so she can get him ready for his next fight, and in exchange, Reid teaches Lucie the art of seduction so she can get her doctor to notice her. But when his technique's work, Lucie starts to wonder if he really is the man for her.

The story was great, sweet, classic. It's the kind of story every girlie girl loves. The crush on her older brothers best friend. The successful bad boy. Everything little girl dreams are made of. With enough steamy scenes to make it every grown woman's fantasy. This is a definite must read.
