I'm not going to tell you the plot of the book in my review. I think the synopsis above gives you enough details that you don't need me to sum it up. But I will tell you how I felt about this story.
You know when you're on a roller coaster and you're heading up the steep climb? Click-Click-Click And you're so dang excited and yet terrified to get to the top? It's that deep burn, the desire to pause the ride and just embrace the height without the drop. That's what this book was to me. It's very rare a love story just continues to climb without the drop so you know it's coming and I was incredibly anxious to get to it.
Oh my gosh, Logan Matthews... swoon!!! Could one man be any more perfect? Thoughtful, caring, loving, compassionate, honest, open with his deep soul and sad past. Seriously, he's the stuff fictional men are made of. All kinds of delicious. And Clare and Logan's chemistry is sizzling.
But the star of the show? Maddie. She is such a bright spot, even when this book gets a little rough. The amount of joy she brought to the book, really helped me pull through the tougher moments. But let me tell you, those tough moments were tough. My eyes blurred, stinging.
Overall this story was amazing.
